Remove Your Blocks to Self Love

Marci Shimoff and Debra Poneman are two wonderful ladies I'd encourage you to check out. They've each written several books and are currently running an online course together. Here are some quotes from them on self love...

"Self love is the portal we need to walk through for the rest of our journey." Marci Shimoff

"Self love is the key ingredient for manifesting your intentions." Marci Shimoff

"Self love is actually the essence of who we are. We don't need to create it. Our job is simply to remove the blocks to experiencing the truth of who we really are." Marci Shimoff

"No one can love you more than you love yourself. People can only give you what you're willing to give yourself. The universe will only give you what you feel worthy of." Debra Poneman

Marci and Debra teach about self love in great depth expanding the topic over three key areas:

  1. Self Clarity
  2. Self Compassion
  3. Self Care

Is Self Love Selfish?

"It’s not selfish to love ourselves. It clears us so that we can love ourselves enough to love other people. We can really help the planet when we come from a space of great love and joy on an individual basis." Louise Hay

www.louisehay.com Do You Truly Know How To Love Yourself?

“All love eventually becomes help.” Paul Tillich

"Make sure you love what you’re doing, love who you’re with and love where you live. You will radiate good vibrations, people will want to be around you and that will heal them." Elizabeth Gilbert

"This time I'm going to put me first. Instead of serving you from a half empty tank, or a bone dry tank, I'm going to serve you from my overflow. I'm going to give you the part that I don't even need because I took care of me first." Lisa Nichols

"The main thing, of course, always is the fact that there is only one of you in the world, just one, and if that is not fulfilled then something has been lost." Martha Graham, 1991, Blood Memory

...Go! Start By Learning How To Love Yourself

When I confessed to a friend that I'd been struggling with ill health she gave me a copy of the book 'You Can Heal Your Life' by Louise Hay.

At the time, I didn't find it an easy read, I found it very confusing. I didn't find the exercises easy, I found them very uncomfortable. For the first time in my life I was being introduced to the idea of self love.

If your life is a complete and utter mess, self love will start to dig you out. The only way is up. If you're flying high but you can't quite muster up the confidence you need to take you to the next level, self love will create that self esteem and self worth you're searching for.

The book opens with this:

"We are each responsible for all of our experiences.

Every thought we think is creating our future.

...

We must release the past and forgive everyone.

We must be willing to begin to learn to love ourselves.

Self-approval and self-acceptance in the now are the keys to positive changes.

When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works."

Louise L. Hay, You Can Heal Your Life

Get Set… To Transform Your Thinking

I’ve discovered that you can change your life around from fatigued to fabulous, from suicidal to successful. When my mind broke down and I hit rock bottom I had no idea what to do and no idea if recovery was even possible. I was aware that I had lost my mind with depression and anxiety. Just breathing normally was a challenge. I had no support network close by.

I’ve recovered from being abused, from being bullied, from depression, from anxiety, from Multiple Sclerosis and from chronic fatigue. Some people will tell you that diet is the way to heal. Others will tell you exercise is the key to health. Both these things are indeed vital but I have learned that our life experiences are ultimately governed by our mindset. Even if you get to the point of giving up on life, recovery is possible.
